Every job our technicians do on a turbine starts long before they reach site. The tools have to be ready, the materials sorted and the PPE checked, packed and good to go.
That work now has a new home. RTS Wind Ltd has opened a brand-new warehouse on the same industrial estate in Middlesbrough as the previous warehouse. Only the warehouse is moving; the RTS Wind Ltd office stays where it is.
More than twice the space
The old warehouse measured 13 x 13 metres, and it had simply become too small for the way the business is growing. The new facility measures 13 x 30 metres, which gives the team more than double the floor space.
The new unit will hold everything our UK teams rely on day to day:
- Tools and rope access equipment
- Blade repair materials and everyday repair consumables
- PPE kit bags for our technicians
Built around how the team works
The extra space is about more than storage. The new warehouse has a dedicated area for setting up projects, so kit can be laid out, sorted and prepared properly before it goes out. It will also make it easier to track equipment and materials, and it allows for improved COSHH storage.
PPE equipment for projects will be put together and certified there. That keeps safety-critical preparation in one organised place.
Supporting every service, customer and region
The warehouse will support all of RTS Wind Ltd’s services, customers and regions. A two-person team will run it, and the old warehouse will stay in use until the move is complete.

It’s a practical step, but an important one. More space, better organisation and room to grow mean our technicians can get on with the work in the field, knowing their equipment has been prepared properly at home.
